We are thrilled to announce that Wishes and More will be the featured charity for our first Cars & Caves car show of the season on April 29th, 2023.
Wishes and More is a Minnesota-based nonprofit organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. The organization was founded in 2004 by a group of volunteers who wanted to make a difference in the lives of children with serious illnesses.
Since its founding, Wishes and More have granted wishes to children from all over Minnesota. Wishes have included trips to Disney World, meeting celebrities, going on once-in-a-lifetime adventures and cars to young adults like Ethan.
Ethan is an 18-year-old from Mankato who loves cars! His big project at the moment is restoring his 1998 Mustang. Unfortunately, a diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia(ALL) put a damper on his plans, so his wish was for someone to help him complete the restoration! To finish his wish, Apple Valley Ford jumped on board and installed and rebuilt the engine, reattached the supercharger, upgraded the clutch, provided and installed an upgraded fuel injector and fuel pump, and then fine-tuned the computer system. He was also given a year’s membership to the Northern Stars Mustang Club. In addition, Gary Curtis Driving Experience is having him out for a driving experience at their Rosemount track!
Ethan will be showing off his rebuilt Mustang at the Chanhassen AutoPlex Cars and Caves car show on Saturday, April 29th 2023.
