FreeGear up for the most extraordinary monthly car show in Minnesota: Cars and Caves, September 2024, featuring our annual German Oktoberfest celebration. This car lovers’ event takes place at the world-famous Chanhassen AutoPlex, just a 20-minute drive from Minneapolis/St. Paul. It offers a captivating blend of automotive passion, stunning vehicles, and a unique opportunity to explore Chanhassen AutoPlex’s renowned car condos.
The September 2024 car show will be an unforgettable celebration of German automotive excellence. The Oktoberfest German Car Show is a celebration of German automotive engineering and design, showcasing the finest Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, and Volkswagen vehicles. As always, Classic, collector, muscle, antique, street rod, exotic vehicles, and vintage motorcycles will also be admitted to the show area on a first-come, first-served basis.
Immerse yourself in a world of automotive excellence as you witness a remarkable display of classic, collector, muscle, antique, street rod, exotic vehicles, and vintage motorcycles, and more. The Chanhassen AutoPlex is known around the world for our amazing car condos. Many of the 140 garage condominiums at the AutoPlex will be open for viewing. Coffee, beverages, and food will be available for purchase.
Like all Chanhassen AutoPlex events, the April 2024 Cars & Caves car show is a family-friendly event that is free and open to the public.
Show Car Criteria
If you’re interested in showing your car, we gladly welcome the following vehicles into the show area:
- Classic cars: Cars manufactured between 1925 and 1948 are still in original or restored condition.
- Collector cars: Cars that are at least 25 years old and have been restored or maintained in their original condition.
- Muscle cars: High-performance American-made cars produced between the mid-1960s and early 1970s.
- Antique cars: Cars that are at least 45 years old and are in original or restored condition.
- Street rods: Custom-built cars designed to resemble cars from the 1930s and 1940s.
- Exotic vehicles: High-performance sports cars and luxury vehicles are typically rare and expensive.
- Vintage motorcycles: Motorcycles that are at least 35 years old and are in original or restored condition.
NOTE: Due to limited space, we can only allow vintage or exotic import cars. All other import cars will be asked to park in spectator areas. Please make sure that your vehicle is clean, polished, and free of any damage or rust.
Gates open at 8:30 am for show cars. We would also ask that you arrive early to ensure that you have enough time to park and set up.
If you’re a car enthusiast but don’t have a vehicle that fits into one of these categories, don’t worry! The public is welcome to spectate the event and drive their everyday car. We will have plenty of space for parking and viewing the show, so feel free to come and enjoy the day with us.
